North East Open 2005 results
New record set again in the 150g event , we had 14 rounds of casting for the day . Would like to thank all those who assisted with the set up and tear down of the courts . Thanks to Bill Halpin Sr for discovering the casting field , this is a huge location (97 acres) which allows us to set up in any direction . Special thanks to "Squidhound Bob" Collepardi for being the chef for the day and "Ardmore Bill" Halpin for supplying the Coffee and Donuts and all lunch food and grill . Snacks and drinks were also supplied by "Mafia Bob" Sales and fresh Philly pretzels were provided by Don "Pajamas Pants" Williams . Thanks to "Joey Drains" Lynch from Precise Plumbing for donating the Porti Potti . Prizes and Door prizes were provided by Bob Sales and Conn "Connman" Leahy and from Paulie "Frankie" LaMagna of IR . The Fishermen's Cove Bait and Tackle in Mantua NJ provided the new "CASTING" sign. Thank you every one who made donations towards the food fund . The grill was a great idea and will be carried over to future events .

North East Open Marlton NJ April 22-24
The NE open will be held at the Evesham Township Recreational center in Marlton , NEW JERSEY.
Directions
Direction to Sportcast USA NE Open Casting Tournament April 22. 23. & 24, 2005.
The field is located on Rt 620 (Main Street or Tuckerton Road) about 3 miles east of the town of Marlton NJ across the road from the entrance to the Memorial Sports complex.
From the NJ Turn Pike
Take Exit 4 and get on I295 South and when you get to exit 34 follow the "From I295" directions below.
From the Delaware Memorial Bridge
Take I295 North and when you get to exit 34 follow the “From I295” Directions below.
From the Ben Franklin Bridge
Take Rt 70 East and when you pass I295 follow the "From I295" directions below.
From the Walt Whitman Bridge
Take I295 North and when you get to exit 34 follow the "From I295" directions below.
From I295
Take exit 34 onto Rt 70 East. Take Rt 70 East for about four miles to N Elmwood. Make a right onto N Elmwood. Take N Elmwood to the first light and make a left onto Rt 620 (Main Street). On Rt 620 go past the first light at New Road and you will see a white fence on the right. Follow the fence for about 400 yards and you will see an entrance to the Memorial Sports Complex (Blue Building ). The casting field is located on Rt 620 on the left a little past the entrance. Make a left at the “CASTING” sign.
From coastal New Jersey (Long Beach Island to Sandy Hook)
Take Rt 70 West to N Elmwood. Make a left onto N Elmwood. (N Elmwood is about 6 miles west of Rt 206) Take N Elmwood to the first light and make a left onto Rt 620 (Main Street). On Rt 620 go past the first light at New Road and you will see a white fence on the right. Prizes were donated by Ryan White of Hatteras Jacks , Joe Moore of One More Cast ,Charlie Farmer and Conn Leahy . Drinks and prizes were supplied by Bob Sales . Bill Halpin Sr and Bill Smith for Beef Jerky prize and beer and wine for dinner . Tommy and Kim Farmer were our gracious hosts for a delicious dinner on Saturday and the considerable time spent on finding a casting field .

Special thanks to all the casters who chipped in and helped set up , measure , break down . This really was a team effort that made everything run smoothly .
Thanks to Neal Lanier for use of his property and the town of Burgaw who welcomed us with a special proclamation read by the town Mayor .
